With a name like “Mudbug Madness,” the second installment of a new event by the Bellevue Harpeth Chamber of Commerce has got to be crazy good, right?
Of course, it would help if you loved crawdads, too.
The chamber is hosting the annual Mudbug Madness Crawfish Boil from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, at the Plantation Pub, 8321 Sawyer Brown Road, in Bellevue.
For a $25 ticket, purchased in advance, visitors get to partake in all-you-can-eat crawfish, fixings, beverages, and live Cajun music. Admission at the door will be $30, and there are also some sponsorship opportunities available through the chamber.
“It’s going to be a great event, and a lot of fun,” said Amy Napoli, the chamber’s CEO. “Plus, we have a great Cajun band, Roux du Bayou.”
The Roux du Bayou Cajun Band plays authentic Cajun, zydeco, swamp pop, and Mardi Gras music, but can incorporate some rock, R&B, and country into its sound. The band’s high-energy style has presented them with repeat engagements across the country for nearly two decades.
Fronted by Bellevue’s Paul Gregoire, the band finished as runners-up in the prestigious Cajun French Music Association’s “best Cajun band outside of Louisiana” category.
Event sponsor Plantation Pub will be cooking up unlimited crawfish, but has limited parking, and while street parking may be available, folks should consider Uber or Lyft as transportation options, organizers say.
Children under 12 years of age can attend for free. Each admission also gives event-goers two drink tickets (for beer, soft drinks, or tea).

Sponsorship opportunities are listed online as well, and packages include company banners and signs, social media mentions, email blasts, “live” stage mentions, entry wristbands, t-shirts, and other items.
