Showers and thunderstorms are likely to come along with the cold front on Wednesday, with the National Weather service reporting the chance of precipitation that day at 70 percent.

Temperatures will start to drop Wednesday night with a predicted low of 61, which is expected to carry over into Thursday with a high of 69 during the day.

Temperatures are expected to mostly remain in the 40s to 60s range into the weekend, with a low on Thursday night of 45. Friday and Saturday’s high is expected not to exceed 70, giving Williamson County residents a much-needed break from the heat.

The low temperatures are likely to carry over into next week as well, with Monday’s high during the day at only 66.

The cold front coincidentally will coincide with Hurricane Michael, which is expected to hit the Florida Panhandle Wednesday morning, traveling northeast along the country’s east coast. Michael, which is expected to make landfall as a possible Category 3 hurricane with winds in excess of 100 mph, will just miss the state of Tennessee.
