Free skin cancer screening will be offered June 15 at Vanderbilt One Hundred Oaks

The Nashville Dermatologic Society and Vanderbilt Dermatology are partnering to offer a free SpotMe® skin cancer screening on Saturday, June 15, 2019 from 9 a.m. to noon at Vanderbilt Dermatology One Hundred Oaks, 719 Thompson Lane, Suite 26300, Nashville, TN 37204 (use Entrance A).

It is estimated that 1 in 5 Americans will develop skin cancer in their lifetime, and one person dies from melanoma – the deadliest form of skin cancer – every hour.

To help you detect skin cancer early, in its most treatable stage, the  free event has been organized and is open to the public. Walk-ins are welcome. No appointment is needed.

The SPOTme® skin cancer screening program is part of the American Academy of Dermatology’s SPOT Skin Cancer™ initiative, a campaign to create a world without skin cancer through public awareness, community outreach programs and services, and advocacy that promote the prevention, detection and care of skin cancer.
